Job summary

Nelnet is advancing its GenAI capability as a core technology across education and government sectors. The role centers on building agentic assistants, integrating data, and delivering production-grade AI solutions on the Gemini Enterprise Platform.

You will design scalable architectures, ensure model safety and FERPA considerations, and collaborate with data and deployment engineers to deliver reliable AI-powered services that meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred; capable of ramping on Google Cloud stack.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, tuning, or grounding techniques.
• Knowledge of multi-agent orchestration patterns and A2A protocol.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI applications on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, translating backlog items into working solutions.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and grounding using the platform features.
• Integrate Agent2Agent protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns where engagements require it.
