Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking an AI Engineering Manager to lead GenAI & ML initiatives, bridging business needs with technical execution. You will guide a team of software engineers to build GenAI-powered products, assess integrations, and deliver value across our payments platforms.

You will drive strategic AI projects, manage stakeholders, and ensure ethical, compliant engineering practices while staying ahead of industry trends and enabling scalable, secure AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinker with strong intuition and first principles thinking around business performance.
• Hands-on engineering experience with production-ready GenAI & ML applications; lead an engineering team.
• Expert on industry trends and various LLMs, including development tools & frameworks.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience building high-performance teams and leading software engineers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/AI or related field.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management to align expectations with business goals.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution with decision-making skills.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers building GenAI-powered products and prototypes.
• Collaborate to drive GenAI adoption across products and systems, boosting efficiency and personalization.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts from idea to pilot, use case development, and deployment.
• Ensure ethical AI practices and stay current with GenAI/ML developments.
• Develop internal GenAI communications and community efforts across Global Payments.
