Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Lead Engineer (Generative AI) to design, build, and operationalize enterprise-scale GenAI solutions. You will lead end-to-end GenAI projects, including architecture, deployment, and observability, partnering with product and risk teams to ensure secure, scalable AI systems.

You will drive technical leadership, mentoring, and best practices across Python microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC for Azure and AWS environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, or AI/ML solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on GenAI with LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI concepts and LangChain/LangGraph.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and microservices-based development.
• Security, governance, and compliance awareness for regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions at enterprise scale.
• Lead GenAIOps lifecycle: architecture, deployment, monitoring, cost control.
• Architect GenAI applications across Azure and AWS clouds.
• Develop scalable Python microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across teams.
