Job summary

Global Payments seeks an AI Engineering Leader to drive strategic GenAI and ML initiatives. You will oversee a team of engineers, guiding the design and deployment of GenAI-powered products that enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new business opportunities.

This role emphasizes ethical AI usage and aligning technical work with business goals. You will collaborate across business units, remain current on GenAI advancements, and lead with data-driven decisions

Qualifications

Strategic thinker with strong intuition around business performance and competitive landscape.
Strong project leadership and ability to manage multiple complex priorities across teams.
Hands-on engineering experience with production-ready GenAI & ML applications; lead an engineering team.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Experience building high-performance teams including backend and frontend engineers.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/AI or related field.
Proficiency in stakeholder management to communicate with broader stakeholders.
Experience in strategic planning and execution aligned with business goals.
Some experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to build GenAI-powered products.
Assess and integrate GenAI into existing products to boost efficiency and create new offerings.
Ensure ethical use of AI and adherence to guidelines.
Drive cross-functional engagement from idea to concept, pilot, and deployment.
Develop and nurture GenAI communities and internal platforms for sharing experiences.
