Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safety & Security team member in New Jersey to safeguard associates, customers, and vehicles. The role is boots-on-the-ground, requiring active gate presence, vehicle scanning, safety audits, and rapid response in emergencies.

You will monitor security systems, coordinate with Inspection Center and Logistics teams, and help maintain open, safe operations across weather conditions. Prioritize service and clear communication daily.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and effectively; listen actively to signals.
• Use the Safe & Secure App (SAS App) and RFID tech to enforce ingress/egress procedures.
• Monitor live cameras and review footage to investigate intrusion alerts.
• Run safety audits and reinforce best practices with on-site teams.
• Manage vehicle movement through the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates.
• Be trained in first aid, CPR, and AED and apply as needed.
• Know emergency protocols cold to act decisively when seconds count.
• Keep the site operational in any weather and support safety protocols.
