Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviews incoming referrals and orders.
• Triages patients.
• Schedules appointments and/or procedures in BCM and BSLMC, ensuring a procedure date is scheduled.
• Works closely with the referral center.
• Contacts patients for instructions before the procedure and notifies date/time/arrival.
• Requests additional information from referring physicians if needed.
• Fills endoscopy block with care coordination team.
• Works on order work queue to select orders and schedule patients.
• Coordinates with MD for special instructions including locations and clearances.
• Verifies patient identification and information on documentation.
