Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Gas Service Administrator to support the process of obtaining natural gas service. You will prequalify applicants, create SAP notifications, collect site data, and assist sales teams to ensure smooth service activation.

The role requires strong communication, data handling, and multitasking skills, with a focus on reliability and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the natural gas industry and related policies.
Ability to follow procedures and deliver quality results.
Strong customer service, analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Capable of organizing and multitasking with timeliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to collect, compile, and review data.
Reliable, regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

Respond to inquiries and educate callers on obtaining natural gas service.
Prequalify applicants on gas availability using company mapping systems.
Create notifications in SAP for service requests.
Determine and create gas service applications balancing installation standards.
Process gas service applications when service is available.
Route applications requiring approvals to the appropriate department.
Assist Outside Sales with information such as applicant, location, and load data.
Enter initial gas application and notification into SAP.
Track and update data on Excel spreadsheets and shared documents.
Answer status inquiries from initial call through installation.
