Job summary

NiSource Inc. is seeking an onsite Operations Coordinator for Distribution Operations, working a 4x4 schedule from 5am to 5pm, including weekends and holidays.

You will assign daily work orders, prioritize resources, and dispatch emergency orders for gas leaks and outages. You'll coordinate with field crews, schedulers, and other departments to keep work on track.

This role requires 2+ years in Distribution Operations, basic computer skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in Distribution Operations or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Customer focus driven.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily work orders and activities for gas service staff.
• Prioritizes and assigns orders to optimize resources.
• Dispatches emergency orders for gas leaks, fires, and monoxide.
• Monitors and reassigns work to control overtime.
• Coordinates labor and equipment to support the schedule.
• Works with schedulers and field leaders to route daily work.
• Manages backlog of undated/filler work.
• Responds to customer inquiries and reschedules work as needed.
• Rotating 4x4 schedule: 5am-5pm, weekends/holidays.
