Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a field-level technician to install, operate and maintain gas and liquid pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, terminals, and related facilities. Responsibilities include patrolling, locating, excavation inspection, and ensuring compliance with safety programs and procedures.

Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are required. Entry to mid-level role with training; must have a valid driver’s license and be prepared for travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree helpful for progression.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain gas pipelines, compressors and related equipment.
• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, and pipeline appurtenances.
• Oversee safety inspections and compliance with Company procedures during excavation near pipeline facilities.
• Perform pipeline patrols, leak detection surveys, and associated inspections.
• Liaise with landowners, officials, and local groups as needed.
