Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a skilled Operations Technician to install, operate and maintain natural gas liquid processing facilities and related pipeline systems. You will monitor process parameters, start/stop equipment, and support maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires working non-traditional hours, strong mechanical and math skills, and the ability to coordinate with control centers and field teams to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree/substitution considered.
• Willingness to achieve Operator Qualifications (OQ).
• Knowledge of compressors/pumps, gas/liquid processing concepts, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate compressors, engines, turbines, and pumps.
• Monitor process variables (pressure, temperature, flow) to meet targets.
• Plan and perform maintenance on equipment and controls.
• Ensure cost-effective performance of processing units and equipment.
• Coordinate with control centers and shippers on product movement.
• Maintain safety, regulatory, and tariff compliance.
