Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to support installation, operation and maintenance of gas/liquid pipelines, compressor stations, and related facilities. This role includes training to achieve Operator Qualifications and progression within the field.

The position emphasizes field execution, safety, and collaboration with landowners, contractors, and internal teams. Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to achieve and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ).
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, pumps and related equipment.
• Start/stop engines and pumps within operating parameters.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, valves and instruments.
• Locate and mark facilities per Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures.
• Oversee safety and environmental compliance during excavation near pipelines.
• Provide inspection and oversight of third-party construction.
