Job summary

Xcel Energy offers an internship where you will support Gas Operations Technical Specialists & Brighton operations by developing SOPs and cleaning up reports and compliance-based maintenance plans. You’ll collaborate with foremen and seniors to address open notifications, with a May 31, 2027 start date and potential extension based on performance.

You must be a current student, enrolled in an ABET-accredited program in Business or Engineering, with limited travel and a hybrid in-person work

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027).
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering.
• Minimal travel across the state.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning SAP reports.
• Gather information for Standards.
• Develop SOPs.
• Clean up open issues and notifications.
