Job summary

Xcel Energy in Colorado is offering an internship focused on gas operations with emphasis on Emergency Response and Compliance. You will analyze data and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and automate daily tasks.

The role requires current enrollment as a student, with the ability to work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year, commuting to a designated site under a hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Emergency Preparedness, Engineering
• Personal vehicle needed to travel to work sites
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to determine trends and areas for key improvements.
• Utilize skills to enhance business processes and improve application functionality.
• Play a key role in continuous improvement efforts that allows for more automation within daily operational activities.
