Job summary

Xcel Energy in Colorado is seeking an intern for gas operations with a focus on Gas Emergency Response and Compliance. You will analyze data, assist with continuous improvement, and help improve efficiency and application functionality.

The role supports local operations, with in-person commuting under our hybrid policy and a May 31, 2027 start date. Current student in Business, Emergency Preparedness, or Engineering and able to work full-time in summer or part-time during the school year; a

Qualifications

Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027).
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Emergency Preparedness, Engineering.
Personal vehicle needed to travel to work sites.
Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

Assist local operations with logistical improvements.
Analyze data to determine trends and areas for key improvements.
Utilize skills to enhance business processes and improve application functionality.
Play a key role in continuous improvement efforts that allows for more automation within daily operational activities.
