Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support field operations in the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. You will gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, field maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational procedures while working alongside experienced technicians.

You will participate in site visits, inspections, and projects, learning safety protocols and practical skills that support energy delivery across North America.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited mechanical, chemical, pipeline, automation, or related technical/trades program.
• Completed at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start date.
• Returning to full-time studies after the term.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the term.
• Must pass pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations while upholding TC Energy's Safety In Every Step, Personal Accountability, One Team, Active Learning values.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment, and procedures.
• Learn and apply safety protocols for field work.
• Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision.
• Develop technical and problem-solving skills applicable to a field technician role.
