Job summary

USIC is seeking a field locator for Columbus, OH. You will identify gas lines, mark locations, and work outdoors using locating equipment. Some hand digging may be required while following safety guidelines and documenting results.

We offer paid training, a company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits. Overtime, weekend and on-call shifts are possible; a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to identify gas lines and mark areas.
• Perform some hand digging to unearth gas lines when required.
• Follow safety guidelines and document locate results.
• Support local travel and potential overtime or on-call shifts.
