Job summary

USIC is seeking a field locator for Advanced Gas Operations in Ohio. You will work outdoors using locating equipment to identify gas lines, mark sites, and protect infrastructure. Some hand digging may be required, with opportunities for overtime and on-call shifts in a startup phase.

No prior locating experience is required, but safety-conscious candidates who can travel locally and pass a drug screen are encouraged to apply. A company vehicle is provided and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel locally and pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency in referencing locate tickets and maps.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine the location of gas lines and mark the area to prevent damage.
• Some hand digging may be required to unearth gas lines.
• Follow all safety, client, state, and federal guidelines for damage prevention.
• As a locator, may locate other utilities depending on projects.
• Work daytime, full-time with possible overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
