Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking a field locator to determine gas line locations using locating equipment and to mark areas for safety. You will work outdoors in various conditions as part of our Advanced Gas Operations team, with opportunities for growth and a strong training program.

The role requires travel locally, ability to pass a drug screen, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time, safety-focused position offering paid training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to stand and walk long periods on varying terrain; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring.
• Proficiency with technology and reading locate tickets/maps.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark area.
• Develop knowledge of underground utility infrastructure.
• Follow all damage-prevention guidelines.
• May locate other utilities depending on project.
