Job summary

USIC is hiring for Advanced Gas Operations technicians who locate underground gas lines and mark sites to prevent damage. You will work in the field using company vehicles and equipment, with training provided and opportunities for advancement.

No prior locating experience is required, though experience in outdoor work and safety awareness is a plus. Expect daytime shifts, with overtime and on‑call duties as needed and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record; local travel may be required.
• Ability to stand and walk long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Pass a drug screen; safety sensitive position.
• Read and reference locate tickets and maps; basic math for distances.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark areas.
• Occasionally perform hand digging to uncover lines.
• Follow all damage prevention guidelines from company and clients.
• May locate other utilities depending on project requirements.
• Daytime, full‑time shifts with overtime and on‑call shifts as needed.
