Job summary

USIC, America’s leader in underground utility damage prevention, is hiring Advanced Gas Operations locators for daytime, full-time field work in Texas. You will use locating equipment to find gas lines, mark the area, and ensure safe, accurate mark-out for excavators and property owners.

No prior locating experience is required, but a safety-minded attitude and willingness to travel locally are essential; overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally out-of-area.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to identify gas line locations and mark area with paint/flags.
• Develop knowledge of underground utilities and safety guidelines.
• Locate other utilities as needed per project.
• Support accurate mark-out services for excavators and property owners.
