Job summary

USIC is seeking dedicated field technicians to locate underground gas lines and other utilities. You will operate locating equipment, mark sites with paint and flags, and sometimes perform light hand digging. Strong safety awareness and the ability to read tickets and maps are essential for this role.

Full-time daytime work with overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call duties as needed. Training is provided, and a company vehicle is supplied for job-related travel.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• favorable driving record and valid driver's license.
• Comfort with basic math to calculate distances and readings.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps, and prints and reference them accurately.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark the area to prevent damage.
• Occasional hand digging to unearth gas lines and verify utility infrastructure.
• Follow damage prevention guidelines and work within safety protocols.
• Coordinate with team members and contractors to complete locates efficiently.
