NiSource Inc. is seeking an entry-level Field & Service Technician to support safe and reliable natural gas delivery for residential and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to obtain or maintain required company certifications and Operator Qualifications (OQs).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls and overtime.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace natural gas distribution facilities including mains and services.
• Operate construction equipment and transport materials to job sites.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and support field activities.
• Install and remove gas meters, regulators, and meter settings; investigate service issues.
