Job summary

NiSource is seeking an entry-level Field & Service Technician to support the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas services. You may perform field construction, maintenance, or customer service work, with hands-on training and clear progression opportunities.

Based near Plain City, OH (within 25 miles) and Grove City area, you will respond to emergencies, inspect lines, operate equipment, and help customers, contractors, and plumbers with gas service installations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to obtain or maintain required company certifications and OQs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace natural gas distribution facilities, including mains and services.
• Turn gas service on and off for customers and test for leaks.
• Provide guidance to customers, contractors, and plumbers regarding gas service installations.
