Job summary

TC Energy seeks a Student Intern to support field operations related to the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. You will gain hands-on experience with natural gas compression equipment, field maintenance activities, troubleshooting processes, and operational procedures.

The internship offers mentorship, hands-on projects across North America, and instruction under experienced technicians, helping you develop practical skills for a field technician career during your May 2027–August

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation or related technical/trades program.
Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027.
Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the term.

Responsibilities

Support field operations installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting natural gas compressors and related equipment.
Gain hands-on experience with field tools, equipment, and procedures.
Learn and apply safety protocols for field work.
Participate in site visits, equipment inspections and project activities under supervision.
Develop technical and problem-solving skills for a field technician role.
