Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support field operations related to the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. You’ll gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, field maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational procedures while working alongside experienced technicians.

Under supervision, you will participate in site visits, inspections, and project activities, applying academic knowledge to real-world energy delivery across North America.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation, or related technical/trades program
• Completed at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start
• Returning to full-time studies immediately after the work term
• Available for full-time work (40 hours per week) for the duration of the term

Responsibilities

• Support field operations while upholding Safety In Every Step, Personal Accountability, One Team, and Active Learning
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment
• Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment, and procedures
• Learn and apply safety protocols for field work
• Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision
• Develop technical and problem-solving skills for a field technician role

Education

Mechanical/Chemical/Pipeline/Automation program

Academic term completed before May 2027

Returning to full-time studies after term

Availability to work 40 hours/week
