Job summary

DT Midstream, Inc. is seeking a Gas Facility Operator to perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of natural gas facilities and related storage and transmission systems.

You will monitor equipment, perform safeties, and coordinate with teams to ensure reliable service across our pipelines in Michigan and neighboring regions. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent with preferred experience in gas processing or pipeline operations, and a demonstrated ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience in natural gas processing, compression and/or pipeline preferred, but will train as necessary.
• Ability to operate and monitor gas facility equipment safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Operate natural gas facility equipment including compressors, dehydrators, valves and pumps.
• Start-up and shutdown equipment and adjust controls to stay within operating ranges.
• Visually inspect equipment and controls for malfunctions and maintenance needs.
• Perform gas leakage investigations and survey pipelines.
• Locate and mark underground pipelines and monitor ROW construction activity.
• Maintain safety practices to protect employees, the public and the environment.
• Record readings for pressures, temperatures, hours of operation, fuel use and other indicators.
• Direct and supervise contract labor for facility maintenance.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, clients and vendors.
