Job summary

DT Midstream is hiring a Plant Operator I or II in Washington, MI. The role covers day-to-day operations and maintenance of natural gas facility and associated storage and transmission systems.

Responsibilities include operating compressors and related equipment, starting/stopping machinery, monitoring gauges, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Training provided for relevant experience and emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in natural gas processing, compression and/or pipeline preferred, but will train as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility of operating natural gas pipeline equipment (compressors, dehydrators, treating equipment, valves, pumps, etc.).
• Start-up/shutdown of equipment and adjusting controls to operating ranges.
• Visually inspect equipment and controls to detect malfunctions or need for repair.
• De-pressurizing equipment and pipelines. Purging/pressurizing pipelines.
• Performing gas leakage investigations and surveys.
• Locating/marking underground pipelines and monitoring ROW construction.
• Maintain safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance and record keeping.
• Read/monitor/record pressures, temperatures, hours of operation, fuel consumption, water levels, gauges.
• Perform maintenance on equipment including replacing filters, gaskets, valves, and lubricants.
• Maintain sites in clean condition and operate grounds equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisor and colleagues on improvements for pipeline system.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors.
• Start/stop equipment when needed and interpret P&ID.
