Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a Shop Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compression equipment. This role requires mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

You will work with the Shop Manager and teammates to inspect equipment, document work orders, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications. Heavy equipment, outdoor conditions, and PPE are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of natural gas compression equipment or similar mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compression equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, and related systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify problems and ensure safety and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work orders, parts used, and time spent.
• Collaborate with Shop Manager and teammates to address issues and improve efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training.
