Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compression equipment. You will work with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, reading schematics, and attention to detail, with experience in compressor systems preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experience required.
• Caterpillar G3600/G3500 Natural Gas Engine experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoots complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Diagnoses compressor system failures and optimizes performance.
• Completes reports per area operating procedures.
• Monitors parts inventory and communicates needs to Supply Chain.
• Assesses repair/replacement needs and prioritizes work.
