Job summary

Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant celebrating seasonal ingredients and heartfelt hospitality. As a Host, you are the first and last contact for guests, shaping their experience with warm greetings, organized seating, and real-time coordination with service teams.

You will manage reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor during peak hours and helping ensure a smooth, memorable dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hosting or customer service experience preferred.
• Confident communicator and calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Assist with coats, strollers, accessibility, and special seating needs.
• Relay guest preferences, celebrations, and allergies to servers and BOH.
• Manage call volume, phone messages, and requests for management to follow up.
• Complete opening, running, and closing duties at the host stand.
