Job summary

GameStop is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations, including guest service, product knowledge sharing, and driving sales. The role supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager's absence and requires a focus on merchandising, customer experience, and process execution.

The ideal candidate will have 18+ years old, a high school diploma or higher, and retail management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests, answer questions, promote promotions, and drive sales.
• Assist Store Manager with staffing, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensure inventory accuracy, and protect company assets.
• Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily.
• Support store manager in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals.
