Job summary

GameStop in the United States seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all store operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding guest service in a fast-paced gaming retailer. You will supervise staff, help ensure visual standards, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining inventory control and compliance.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, processing transactions, training associates, and coordinating scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred; 2 years retail sales/management preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, promote promotions, and thank guests.
• Support store operations, visual elements, sales initiatives, and guest relationships.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS, give receipts, and ensure accurate transactions.
• Elevate customer issues to Store Manager when appropriate and maintain professional conduct.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and ensuring compliance with policies before shifts.
• Schedule staff, manage breaks/meals, and supervise associates in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and billed daily; maintain store cleanliness and merchandising.
• Maintain inventory control and loss prevention; balance daily transactions and bank deposits.
