Job summary

GameStop in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and drive a high level of guest service and sales performance.

The role requires supervising staff, managing POS transactions, and promoting loyalty programs while upholding company policies and standards. A strong retail background and comfort with games knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests, respond to questions, and promote product knowledge.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in absence of Store Manager.
• Process guest purchases and returns using POS system and ensure accurate transactions.
• Assist in setting guest service expectations and train store staff on policies and guidelines.
• Schedule associates to maintain coverage and adhere to scheduling guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness, inventory control, and visual merchandising per company standards.
