Job summary

GameStop is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States who will support the Store Manager in daily operations and sales leadership. You will drive a guest‑centric shopping environment, supervise staff, and promote the company’s buy/sell/trade and reservation initiatives.

The role focuses on delivering outstanding guest experiences, training associates, and ensuring store metrics are met while maintaining a clean, well‑stocked environment across all departments.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Assist Store Manager with onboarding, training, and policy adherence.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation.
• Manage POS transactions, cash handling, and bank deposits.
