Job summary

GameStop is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations and guest experience. You will drive sales by sharing product knowledge, promoting loyalty programs, and ensuring a clean, organized environment that encourages repeat visits.

The role requires overseeing associates, training on policies, and maintaining service standards while working with minimal supervision. A background in retail and gaming knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly and assist with their gaming needs.
• Support store operations under the Store Manager in all facets of store operations.
• Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately.
• Respond to guest questions and escalate issues to Store Manager when needed.
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and supervising store associates to meet service standards.
• Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising per guidelines.
