Job summary

GameStop is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will drive sales by sharing product knowledge, ensuring an organized, inviting shopping environment, and growing guest loyalty through outstanding service.

The role supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, with responsibilities ranging from scheduling and onboarding to performance feedback and policy compliance, in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business/merchandising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests promptly.
• Support store environment, visuals, promotions, and guest relationships.
• Process purchases/returns using POS, issue receipts and give great service.
• Address guest questions in person or by phone and escalate when needed.
• Promote guest benefits and loyalty programs; assist in training staff.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and compliance before shifts begin.
• Supervise associates in absence of Store Manager and ensure schedules meet guidelines.
• Handle payroll entries, time off, and banking duties accurately.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and proper merchandising.
