  • Maintain space cleanliness and billiards tables.
  • Respond to needs and contact appropriate personnel.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Summary

About the SUB: The Student Union Building is a big part of campus life - it's a fun, fast-paced, and high-energy work environment where students are able to make connections, collaborate with one another, and have memorable experiences. Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Business Operations, the qualified candidate will support the day-to-day operations of Louie's Lounge in the SUB. This includes assisting guests with checking out equipment and games, managing events and tournaments, answering general questions, and promoting a fun environment for students. All duties will be performed in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner at all times. This role will plan and execute events and tournaments (minimum of 2 per semester), and work with the Marketing Assistant to request any marketing media.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run the rental counter.
  • Relay advertisement and social media needs to the Marketing Assistant.
  • Conduct inventory of supplies.
  • Collaborate with various constituents to plan and execute tournaments.
  • Attend Louie's Lounge Team meetings.
  • Participate in training and workshops as made available.
  • Complete regular walkthroughs of the space. Maintain the cleanliness of space, billiards tables, etc.
  • Respond to the various needs and situations that arise and contact the appropriate personnel.
  • May perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Position requires cross training & general support functions as indicated.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Ability to work in a professional, client centered, quality service environment.
  • Ability to work independently after training is complete.
  • Ability to carry out detailed tasks, good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Experience with PC.
