Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector for Bulloch County, GA. The role focuses on field inspections of roadways, bridges, and transportation projects to verify compliance with contract plans and standards.

Candidates will inspect materials, supervise inspection staff, and support project engineers throughout construction. The position requires reading plans and specs, math proficiency, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with construction inspection experience.
• 18 months to 3 years in transportation inspection with a state or consultant.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods and inspection procedures.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Inspect asphalt, concrete, pavements, compaction, alignment, and overall build quality.
• Inspect structural components, foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Document measurements, pay quantities, and maintain project records.
• Review plans and procedures and participate in project meetings and closeouts.
• Provide direction to other inspectors as assigned and assist with construction management duties.
