Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector-Bulloch County to perform construction engineering and inspection for roadway and bridge projects in the Bulloch County area, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and standards.

You will conduct field inspections, verify materials, maintain project records, and support engineers throughout construction. Responsibilities include measurements for pay quantities, report writing, and assisting with project meetings and plan

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months to 3 years of progression in transportation inspection.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges and heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Knowledge of highway materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Inspect asphalt, concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment and quality.
• Inspect structural components, foundations, excavation, piling and concrete placement.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Take field measurements and calculations for pay quantities; maintain records.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and findings.
• Supervise inspectors and participate in project meetings and plan reviews.
• Assist with resurfacing, safety improvements and bridge rehabilitation projects.
