Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee in Atlanta, GA. Under supervision, you will learn to manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, ensuring safe and timely freight movement and top-tier customer service. Training will cover DOT compliance and driver safety programs.

You will gain experience in fleet optimization, budgeting, reporting, and coordinating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to support business profitability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Willingness to relocate regionally depending on account assignment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safe outside carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and assist on special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Learn to train and supervise drivers and staff, including system orientation and support.
• Plan, route, monitor, and optimize freight movements to meet customer requirements and ensure on-time service.
