Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee in Georgia to learn driver management, load planning, and performance reporting. The role focuses on safe, on-time freight movement and building strong relationships with drivers and external carriers.

You will gain exposure to payroll, budgeting, and KPI analysis while supporting safety initiatives and DOT compliance across shifts, including nights and weekends. Relocation may be required to support account assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business/logistics.
• Experience coordinating drivers, carriers, and load planning is preferred.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, ensuring safe, on-time freight movement.
• Build positive relationships with drivers and external carriers for smooth carrier setup and productivity.
• Assist with payroll, budgets, invoicing, and KPI reporting for performance reviews.
• Plan loads, route freight, monitor delivery status, and adjust plans to meet customer requirements.
• Support safety programs and DOT compliance through training and documentation.
