Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is hiring a Sales Associate to drive furniture sales through superior customer service and knowledge of our design process. You will work with customers to build custom room designs, aided by our design team and in-store resources.

Training pay is $15 per hour for 2-6 weeks, after which base pay becomes $11 per hour plus uncapped commissions. Average annual earnings are projected at $45,000–$65,000+, depending on location and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales and contributes to store sales goals.
• Promote the Design program and assist Designer to achieve sales goals.
• Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to provide a positive customer experience.
• Develop sales skills including approach, needs discovery, objections handling, and closing.
• Maintain knowledge of product lines and promotions; support delivery and design services.
