Job summary

La‑Z‑Boy Incorporated seeks a Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in a store setting. You will deliver exceptional customer service, follow the La‑Z‑Boy selling process, and build long‑term client relationships to drive sales of furniture and design services.

Training pay is $16/hour for 2–6 weeks, after which base pay starts at $13.50/hour plus uncapped commissions and quarterly bonuses. Average annual earnings range from $40,000 to $60,000+ depending on location and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, build rapport, and influence.
• Persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to store needs.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.
• Initiative to meet goals and drive results.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales and contributes to store sales goals.
• Sell furniture, accessories and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to meet sales goals.
• Follow the La‑Z‑Boy selling process to provide a positive customer experience.
• Develop and utilize sales skills including needs discovery and closing.
• Maximize store promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of product lines and features.
• Coordinate Design Program consultations and installations.
• Open to assisting design-related functions in-store.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow-up.
