Job summary

La-Z-Boy is hiring for a dynamic sales associate in Hoover, AL. You will drive sales by delivering exceptional customer service and applying the La-Z-Boy selling process, while developing awareness of interior design through interactions with a designer.

Training pays $15 per hour for 2-6 weeks with no commissions; base rate varies by location. After training, anticipate total earnings in the $55,000–$75,000+ range, combining base and commissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support store goals.
• Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Initiative to meet assigned goals and stay motivated.

Responsibilities

• Drives Sales.
• Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La-Z-Boy.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve sales goals.
• Consistently execute the La-Z-Boy selling process and provide a favorable customer experience.
• Develop and utilize sales skills including approach, rapport, needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objections handling, closing, and follow-up.
• Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
• Maintain knowledge of features and benefits of product lines.
