Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Dayton, TN is hiring an Upholstery Furniture Builder on the AM shift. You will hand-build quality upholstered furniture in a fast-paced cell, using staple guns, power tools, and framing equipment.

The role requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and strong attention to detail to meet daily production goals. You’ll rotate through upholstery, frame, cushion, final assembly, and packaging tasks as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Physical, fast-paced work requiring standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform multiple upholstery and frame tasks with accuracy and quality.
• Comfort with using staple guns, power tools, and hand tools.
• Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Upholster: trim corners, staple materials, and assemble components per specs.
• Frame: assemble with frame gun, apply glue, and clean up as needed.
• Cushion: insert stuffing, seal and quilt, staple materials.
• Final Assembly: combine components into finished unit and ensure ticket accuracy.
• Packaging: secure finished product for shipment and label correctly.
