Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Dayton, TN is hiring a Furniture Builder for a fast-paced, physically demanding role. You will hand-build upholstered furniture across cells, using power tools, stapling and framing techniques, and ensuring quality throughout each production step.

The role requires standing up to 10 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and team-based collaboration to meet daily goals. Starting pay is $20 per hour with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading and writing skills required.
• Completion of in-house training curriculum.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong coordination for routine, repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team atmosphere to build furniture components.
• Upholster: knock down sharp frame corners and staple materials.
• Frame: staple materials, apply glue and assemble components.
• Cushion process: insert stuffing materials, seal and quilt.
• Final assembly: assemble units and prepare for packaging.
• Packaging: secure finished units with banding and tape.
• Operate power tools safely as required.
