Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a production teammate to hand-build quality upholstered furniture in a fast-paced plant environment. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using staple guns, power tools, and framing equipment.

Shifts run 4 PM–2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday with mandatory overtime on Fridays. Weekly hours total 40, with comprehensive benefits and an emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Completion of in-house training curriculum.
• Basic computer skills.
• Stand for up to 10 hours per day with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team atmosphere as part of the cell.
• Performs any position within the cell as needed.
• Use Kan Ban containers properly.
• Upholster: kno ck down sharp corners of frame.
• Use staple gun to staple materials.
• Assemble components with hand tools and air tools as necessary.
• Coordinate workflow in cell and ensure tickets match units.
• Pack finished units and prepare for packaging.
• Move units to alternate locations as required.
• Scan ticket to show unit complete.
