Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Dayton, TN, seeks an AM Shift upholsterer to hand-build quality upholstered furniture in a fast-paced production cell. You must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use staple guns, framing tools, drills and other hand tools.

This role emphasizes teamwork and meeting daily production goals. You will handle upholstery, framing, cushions and final assembly, following Kan Ban workflows and tickets.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10 hours daily.
• Basic reading and writing skills required for tickets and instructions.
• Strong hand coordination and use of hand tools as part of upholstery processes.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team atmosphere within the upholstery cell.
• Upholster components following provided notes and tickets.
• Frame assembly using staple and framing tools.
• Cushion and final assembly tasks including sealing, quilting and packaging.
• Coordinate workflow in the cell and ensure tickets reflect completed units.
