Job summary

Pottery Barn Kids is seeking an Associate Designer to support new product lines and development processes for each season. You will assist in meetings with agents, merchants, sourcing, and color teams, collaborating with Senior Management to meet deadlines and calendar dates.

This onsite role requires joining the team Monday through Friday, partnering with Design, Technical Design, Merchants, and Sourcing to bring mood, market trends, and business goals to life.

Qualifications

• Portfolio or website of current and past design work.
• Minimum 2 years retail product design experience.
• Degree in Design or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing category-specific product with materials and pricing in mind.
• A aspirational taste level with passion for interiors and trends.
• Domestic and overseas collaboration with factories is a plus.
• Mass manufacturing experience in retail environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of constructions and technical design is a plus.
• Understanding and enthusiasm for the Pottery Barn Kids brand.

Responsibilities

• Assist category Designers to prepare for weekly Product Development meetings and Work Sessions.
• Understand business results and support changes from weekly Monday Business Review meetings.
• Assist and support seasonal product presentations to the team; develop specs and concept boards; support Senior Designers from concept to product approval.
• Maintain and organize development samples both physically and digitally.
