Job summary

FPWA, a New York nonprofit, seeks a Development Operations Manager to strengthen data, systems, and reporting for fundraising. You will manage Salesforce, gift processing, acknowledgments, and produce leadership reports while supporting donor stewardship and events.

This hands-on role requires 3–8 years in nonprofit fundraising operations, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and donor tools like Instrumentl and iWave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–8 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, fundraising administration, or data management.
• Proficiency in Salesforce required.
• Strong technical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, fundraising and data reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, superior organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; proactive problem solving.
• Commitment to FPWA’s mission and enthusiasm for learning and growth within fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Manage FPWA’s Salesforce database and fundraising platforms with accurate data entry, coding, segmentation, reporting and research.
• Maintain donor, funder, and prospect information.
• Oversee all gift processing and acknowledgement workflows with timeliness and donor focus.
• Produce regular reports on giving levels and donor activity for leadership and board.
• Support data management system improvements and reporting tools.
• Manage departmental invoicing, expenses and reconciliation with Finance.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Chief Development Officer, including scheduling and projects.
• Conduct donor and prospect research and identify major funders and board prospects.
• Track donor interactions and engagement history.
• Coordinate annual campaigns, appeals, and communications with the Development team.
• Support donor stewardship processes and event logistics.
• Monitor internal workflows, deadlines, and deliverables across fundraising channels.
• Collaborate to ensure accurate financial and donor data for proposals and reports.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for the department.
